Senior League Sign Ups
May 11, 2012, 3:52 am

The high school baseball season is well under way and the
Easter spring break is all but a memory.
It is time to again begin preparations for summer baseball. The 15/16 year-old Senior Little League baseball program is
gearing up for another successful season.
As in years past, the division will encompass a twelve (12) game regular
season. Once again, you will have the
opportunity to participate in additional regular season games thru the
divisional “pool play” system. As has
been our past practice, there will be an All-Star tournament team selected at
the end of the regular season.

We are already off to a great start as fifteen (15) players
have pre-registered since February. The
player registration fee of $75.00 includes the $55.00 registration fee as well
as the $20.00 fund-raising fee. This fee
covers all regular season games, a regular season take-home jersey and hat, the
necessary insurance, and an opportunity for the tournament experience.

Depending on whether you are a North or South player, you
must register as noted below:

North Players: www.nstll.org

Click on the Downloads icon located in the lower left
hand corner of the website. Print and
complete the 2012 Registration form, Sport Parent Code of Conduct form, and the
2012 Pool Play (this is optional) form.
Send these 2 or 3 forms, along with your $75.00 check made out to NSTLL
to

Traci Koski 2800 Laurel Park Dr. Saginaw, MI
48603

South Players: www.stsll.org

At the home page click on Handouts then click on Baseball
Registration forms. You then download them and fill them out. Send the forms
along with a check made out to STSLL for $70.00 to

Craig Marcoux 1183 Kentford Dr E, Saginaw, MI 48638.

All registrations
must be received by May 24, 2012.

The regular season will begin the week of June 4th after the
MHSAA local high school districts have been completed. As in the past, we will coordinate our Little League season with your high
school summer programs so that performance at both levels is possible.

If you have questions please feel free to contact your
League administrator below. We look
forward to welcoming you to another exciting season of Senior Little League baseball.

Chevy Youth Baseball
May 9, 2012, 12:07 pm

Chevrolet is most notably recognized on the national level as the “Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball.” Chevrolet has expanded the support of Major League Baseball down to youth baseball players in communities across the country through a grassroots, community outreach program called Chevy Youth Baseball. The program is geared toward bringing together America’s favorite brand, Chevrolet, with America’s favorite pastime!

Participating youth baseball leagues receive equipment and sponsorship donations, unique major and minor league baseball experiences including tickets to games and invitations to exclusive instructional clinics, as well as the opportunity to raise up to $10,000 through a unique fundraising opportunity.

Equipment and Sponsorship Donations
Participating dealerships will donate Equipment Kits to their league that will include equipment bags, baseball buckets, CYB t-shirts, batting tees, whiffle balls and a hitting net. Youth leagues will also receive a one-time sponsorship check from their sponsoring dealership.

Fundraising Opportunity
The Chevy Youth Baseball Fundraiser is an opportunity for leagues to raise additional funds for their private use. Sponsored leagues will receive 2,000 fundraiser entry tickets to distribute for a suggested donation of $5 per ticket, and the league will keep 100% of proceeds raised!

At the end of the fundraiser, four (4) Grand Prize winners will be able to select their choice of either a Chevrolet Cruze or Chevrolet Equinox, there will be one (1) winner from each region. Additional prizes will vary for each participating LMA.

For more information, CLICK HERE see the Chevy Youth Baseball Fundraiser Official Rules for your region.

“Chevy Days” – Partnerships with Major and Minor League Baseball Teams
Dealerships and Leagues associated with a Major or Minor League Baseball Team will have the opportunity to participate in Chevy Days at the team park. MLB/MiLB teams will host one or more Chevy Day, and leagues and their sponsoring dealership will receive game tickets and the opportunity to participate in unique ballpark activities.

Chevy Youth Baseball Instructional Clinics
Participating dealership groups (LMAs) will provide one or more 1/2-day instructional clinic in their area. These clinics give participants from sponsored Chevy Youth Baseball leagues the exclusive opportunity to receive FREE fundamental training from experienced instructors.

Clinic instruction will be provided by current or former MLB/MiLB players and coaches or the Ripken Baseball professional staff. Information on signing up for the clinics is sent to participating dealerships and leagues, and the schedule will be posted online. Clinic spots will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
